I have grown so much from the recent experience...
Though I know this at the back of my mind but still the biggest lesson learnt is that as human beings, we can only plan & it is He who decides...
Now, I see a lot of things from a different perspective, maybe because I now realise that I shouldn't just focus on the small things in life (strangely, this is contrary to what others would normally do) but that I should also look at the bigger things in life. Mom & Dad are still strong and healthy, siblings are still around if I need help, I am healthy and earn a decent living to at least support myself & my girl and yes, most importantly, my precious little girl is what keeps me going...
It is Day 17 of my confinement and now that Nadia gets my undivided attention, I now realise how lil time there is in a day that I have given my attention to her (on days that I work, that is..) My lil precious now wants me to read to her, imitates me and never fails to make me laugh with her funny faces..
Mom & Dad has shown, yet again, their unconditional love, when I see them sending Makcik Urut back & forth and in between their own hectic schedule of making sure they tend to Didi when he comes back from school and all his other extra-curriculum activities..pacing up & down at their age can be very taxing & I have to make it a point to tell them how thankful I am for their sacrifice...
I now also appreciate Mom better especially when MIL woke me up from my afternoon nap last weekend...in my own home!! What happened to my privacy? Even Mom respects my sleep & lets me sleep through until I wake up on my own.. I love u mom! :)
Life is too short, I shouldn't hold back... let's just hope I have the courage to tell that someone how I really feel...
